Our writer specific events currently include The First 25 and Atlanta Writer's Room.

The First 25 is an event in which writers have the opportunity to hear up to 25 pages of their script (screenplay, series, short film etc) read out loud by professional actors. After the reading, the actors and attendees will fill out anonymous feedback forms allowing the writer to get constructive criticism about their work without feeling attacked or disheartened. There is also an optional question and answer session after each reading where the writer may ask questions of the actors and audience, and vice versa.

The First 25 is held the last Thursday of every month from 8:00pm-10:30pm, and we read up to 3 scripts each month.  This event is open to the public as well, so producers and directors can come hear scripts to explore the possibility of future collaborations.

We do prioritize our Writer Members to have their scripts read allowed, but always open it up to outside writers if we have open spots.

Leading up to the First 25, we hold a Writer's Room every Thursday from 7pm-9pm for our Writer's members.  We do an hour of creative prompts to stretch those creative muscles, and then the 2nd hour can be used to discuss any scripts writers are working on or to simply write.

The Writer's Room may be audited for free 1 time.
